RaceFactory MTB hubsB

The targets of the RaceFactory hubs project were clear immediately::
1) Superior precision to achieve reference riding smoothness levels;
2) No compromise for weight and functionality.
There are 2 versions available:
  • XC-MarathonReference Series 2021 , fully titanium mechanics, 66 engagements, 30mm (internal), 26mm (external) bearings, titanium bushings, 3 ratchets with rack sector. Boost torque weight, 28 spokes from 277g
  • XC-Marathon Endurance Series 2021 steel mechanics, 66 engagements, 30mm bearings,3 ratchets with rack sector.Boost torque weight, 28 spokes from 288g

The XC-MarathonReference Series 2021 they are race components in all respects, without compromise. They are the hubs that with Daniel Pozzecco they won in Italian Marathon Championship 2021 and with Lorena Zocca there bronze medal at the XC World Championship, the Italian XC championship and the Italian Marathon Championship 2021 .

Our hubs are designed and produced rigorously in Italy by passionate technicians who produce structural parts for Formula 1 manufacturers and radio telescopes, on latest generation multitasking CNC centers, to obtain the part in a single continuous process of maximum precision.
Hard oxide coatings also come from high-tech suppliers, accustomed to very tight tolerances, who carry out stringent and frequent checks in the anodic baths.

Thanks to this and a very tight selection of components, the internal tolerances of axial alignment and coupling with the bearings are within a few microns.
With such a precise construction the smoothness benefits enormously and allows us to eliminate any shim because we have no play to recover.

In order to work at their best, bearings must have as many constraints as possible, so by design choice we have no precarious washers.
Perfectly aligned bearings have a longer life, because the bearing spheres work in a homogeneous way with a more uniform load on the entire circumference of the seats.
In the XC Reference version, the entire freewheel mechanism (with 66 engagements) is in titanium, with 3 rack and pinion ratchets.

A must of the project are the seats of the external bearings on the disc side in titanium, for maximum torsional rigidity of the hub body.
In our front hubs we privileged, the homogeneity of dynamic response between the two wheel sides. So the ìhub has complete flanges and identical spoke crossing on both sides, while weighing only 92g in 28 holes version.
